That is how distributed.net does it. 20% goes to the host site, 60% goes to a non-profit group voted on by the members, 10% to the person who finds the solution, and 10% is divided amongst their team (if they have no team, the individual receives 20%). That seems fair to me.

I know it is early on and we are still trying to fine tune the application for the RSA challenge, but the subject has to come up sooner or later. How are you planning to divide the prize money if we solve the challenge? I know you mentioned distributed.net and their 60-20-10-10 split. Are we going to use this or some other split? What non-profits are we going to look at, if any? How will we vote? I would suggest we decide this earlier rather than later to avoid any view of indiscretion.
