At last... seemed like it took forever:

Such a nice color!

PS: I don't know why I thought you were Anthony. Top tip: turn the light on before typing.

Anthony has a GTX 1080 and two GTX 1060 (3 Gb). :-)

The race is on ;).

Let's wait for the GPU-based CW Sieve.

There was one but it has been shut down, presumably for mathematical efficiency reasons. The work units were really short and Rick R and I were screaming along at about 2 minutes each I think, me on a couple of gtx570's.

"Back in the day" as they say.

Copernicus is particularly striking!

Perseid meteors for the next few days. LA is so light-polluted, and moon phase unfavorable, so I doubt I'll see a single one.

Crun-chi has it spot-on target. Things like jokes and music do not translate very well. This is why I avoid speaking to people in Canada more than necessary.
HAHA there I just proved my own point!
(and to all, please keep the humor coming)

And I even managed a top-100 finish for the first time in quite a while.

Well done Aggie The Pew!

Multics was an operating system which heavily influenced the development of various UNIX-like systems. It was a MIT project. I never used it directly but I'm sure that some of the MacOS/Unix/whatever shell commands I still use were derived from it.

Do not ever, *ever*, do the following:

cd ~ rm -rf ./*

I'm on my last challenge WU. 40 minutes left to go on it with 2.5 hours left before the deadline. I'll keep going here for a few days just for cleanup purposes. It looks like it will be 61 WU's total for me, most still awaiting validation. No worries.

How about Data General, TECO, DEC, ... I could go on and on but will refrain.

If my emacs stops working I will be violently upset. Use it most every day.

And I've pretty much given up on Linux. I've owned a couple of boxes with that installed, but it's just way too high maintenance... and this from a CS guy with a lot of time on his hands.

Got my 6th WU in. Will probably be the last. I badly need a HW upgrade.
I am travelling to Dallas, Texas on Monday for a week or two for work.
Let me know if anyone in the area wants to catch up.
Cheers,
Roger

Well you won't need a jacket as it will be hot. Think Alice Springs hot, except sticky humid too.
We used to have an AtP member named Murphy who was in Dallas but he has been absent for quite a while now. Our leader Rick R is probably the closest one but still a couple hours away by car.

I see that DeleteNulll (3 'L's) has contributed to our team effort.
(bows to his remarkable effort on other fronts...)
