Validator has crashed and granted credit for prime to lots of people. I suspended prime report emails until it's sorted.

Hi Rytis, is that why I originally had 6 Primes showing on my account yesterday and now it shows 4?
Or is there an error somewhere?

Thanks for the input guys, I cleared the backlog of WU,s and tried the Primegens, all perfect, allowed LLR's when the PG's had cleared and it seems fine at the moment, fingers crossed. Did have a batch on my P4 3.2Ghz machine this morning with Computer Errors but I guess thats the way it goes.
miketoth1001 I will follow your advices and give what you suggest a go as I dont want this to occur again, as I know Rytis wouldnt want any more work than he allready has, again thanks for the input.

Hi all, dont know if any one can shed some light on a situation I found earlier today.

This is the screen shot of part of my completed WU's, you can see no errors etc, the PC is running as standard AMD Athlon 64 5200 X2 1 Gig Ram 300 Gig SATA 11 HDD etc there were some 405 WU's in total, what I dont want to do is return loads of WU's that have to be re-issued. Has any one any ideas? Running Boinc 5.8.8 on a Win XP Pro 32 bit O/S

Thanks in anticipation

Nope none at all, its bizzar seeing a long list of WU's and every 20th one has a CPU time the rest have
--- 100% --- 27/02/07 22.58.33 Ready to report

What I don't want to do is process any more if these are being corrupted or computation errors by my machine?

So in your experiance it is likely that the WU's have completed although there is no CPU time? alocated to that WU. I have suspended work on PG LLR for the time being as was unsure what the situation is/was.

Hi Guys, dont know if this is related to problems you are having with LLR WU's but after returning to my machine this afternoon I found 1 complete result, the next 20 showing 100% but no CPU time and also showing "ready to report" This is a constant down through 405 WU's so every 20th one shows the normal "5.29s 100% Ready to report" Any idea's ??
Hardware is not overclocked and works 100% up untill today, can give more details if any one wants it

Hi Timby,

All primes are doublechecked. If you happen to be the doublechecker, you're not the original finder so you won't hear from Rytis. If you are, you'll get an email from him. This should now be an automated process so it'll probably take a week tops.

Whether you're the first or not is something you yourself can normally find out in advance by reviewing your 'My results' list. A prime is easily recognized as it takes twice as long to check if it is a twin and (thus) gets double credits too, 2.36. If your comp was the first one to send in the result, you're the finder.
Unfortunately Rytis is doing some heavy maintenance on the Primegen results and as a precaution he has switched off the resultlists, which are pretty heavy queries.
So the message for now is to just wait and see if you're getting an email.
And if you do, congrats on joining the club!!

Thanks WinTea, I fully understand now and thankyou for takeing the time to explain to a relative newby to the project.

Hi all, I found a prime in the n=333333 range about two days ago, how do you report this, do you just wait for an email from Rytis?

Thanks for your help.
