Hi,
I'm have 2 RX 5700XT, both of them have a run time between 2100-2400s.
When I look at Performance Metrics in Radeon Software, I see that the utilization of
the GPUs are on average around 50%.
I checked the tasks, and saw this:
GPU Info:
Name: gfx1010
Vendor: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
Driver: 3188.4 (PAL,LC)
Compute Units: 20
It only uses half of the GPU? The GPUs has 40 CU.
I'm using the latest GFX driver (20.11.2).

There seems to be such a tendency in RADEON.
I don't know what caused it. |

A future update to the program should see increased GPU utilization percentage.
The 20 compute units info comes directly from AMD's driver. You can see this in GFN's stderr.txt also, where the compute units are listed at 20. The programs simply report what AMD's video driver is telling it. In this case, incorrect information. |

I confirmed that GPU usage has been improved in the WW1.03 application. |

The only "performance issues" I face are quite different runtimes.
Usually, they're within 10-15% fluctuation, but today I had a one WU that was completed in half the time all others have:
https://www.primegrid.com/result.php?resultid=1157051651
https://www.primegrid.com/result.php?resultid=1157009113
Both WUs done on the same computer with the same 12 threads running SGS.
The only difference I could spot so far is WWocl version 1.00/1.0.2 vs 1.02/1.0.3 - does this explain the vastly shorter runtime? |

Looking at all tasks of that machine, https://www.primegrid.com/results.php?hostid=1042250&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=33, seems to corroborate that theory. The ones with v1.03 seem faster than the ones with v1.02.
Of course, it could also be that you changed something unrelated on that machine at about the same time the upgrade to 1.03 was done by PrimeGrid.

Have you tried running 2 tasks at once yet to see if the RAC speeds up? |

Yes, gpu load should be higher with the new version. |
