Merging host ids

I have several duplicate host ids created when I ran an additional boinc client. I plan to only run PrimeGrid on the main client from now and would like to merge the duplicate host credit totals back into the main host id. I tried to use the merge feature under computer details but it does not list any hosts to merge into. Is there a way to merge these hosts credits back in to the original host? I would like to merge...
host id 1026271 into host id 1005977
host id 1026278 into host id 484711
host id 1027483 into host id 1027482
host id 1027480 into host id 1027479
Thank You,
Miklos M. | |

If there are still tasks on the host list, I believe Merge and Delete do not work, until the list has been all purged.

I do not want to delete the hosts. I wish to merge them into the remaining host ids with the same name to retain the credit per host. I realize nothing will affect my overall credit but I wish to keep the total per host name. These are reasons it will not allow me to merge host 1026271, which has no tasks...

Do you mean that the computer with much higher numbers cannot be restarted again so it would to the PG credits? And only the one recognized currently can be running PG tasks?
Thank you | |

Are you trying to merge two different IDs/entries that actually represent the same physical computer? Or are you trying to merge two distinct physical computers into one ID?
The latter may not be supported. How should the computer info be shown if the entry was a union of different computers with different specs?

I am hoping to re join the same computer that for some reason after setting up a client, decided to credit the newer one and still is. I would like them to be one again and also have the total credit they earned separately.
Thank you | |

The hosts are all from the same physical computer but created under a separate boinc client instance. I only want to run PG from 1 instance and I want to get the other hosts from other instances, which are not used any longer, merged back into a single host id.
Host id 1027480 is orphaned and I want to merge it into the active host id 1027479.
If I understand correctly the issue is 2 hosts with overlapping lifetimes cannot be merged. Per this message when trying to merge...
Host 1027479 has overlapping lifetime: (19 Oct 2020 - 6 Nov 2020), (19 Oct 2020 - 23 Nov 2020)
If so, will this work...
-Set No new tasks on the active host id 1027479
-When it has no tasks in progress, detach PG from that host/instance and any other instance attached to PG
-Wait a little time just to be safe and attach a new instance to PG, which will get a new host ID. It will not have an overlapping lifetime with host 1027479 or 1027480.
-Merge host IDs 1027479 and 1027480 into new host
-Set No new tasks on the new host
-Detach that host after all tasks completed
-Re-attach PG to the instance I wish to use from that point on
-Merge the detached host id into the new host
Make sense? Will that work?
