Can someone explain how this works? Some examples (rounded):

1600K task took 47k seconds, 17000 credit.

1680K task took 51k seconds, 15000 credit.

1792K task took 70k seconds, 17000 credit.

The part of the credit formula responsible here is a multiplier corresponding to FFT size. It does not use the FFT size reported by your computer for this; the server calculates it. In this case, your 1600K task the server calculated would have a 1920K FFT. The server and your host agreed on the 1680K and 1792K task FFT sizes.

In short, you were awarded extra credit on the first task linked while the others are correct.

If you prefer, we could use the standard BOINC credit-new function. :P

Different machines are going to perform differently than the reference computer used for the benchmarks. It will never be perfect for all computers. It's not even possible for it to be perfect for the reference computer that is used for the benchmarks. But it's the best we have come up with, and it's a quantum leap better than anything else out there.
