Ok, I understood what happened. I had the same issue with the latest GFN-18.
I list the Mega Primes sorted by date.
But I suppose the verification of the GFN-18 (or other) is longer than the new MP.
When the list is updated, the new MP is not added on top of the list, but somewhere in the list, at the date of the discovery (not the date of the verification).
I need to pay more attention...

I like it. 2016 wins because of one SOB prime. 2019 was behind the two previous years (2019 could have benefited from one GFN20, for example).
Update: We have two GFN20; the next one will beat Mersenne 40. We have one SOB; the next one (hard) will beat Mersenne 44. See general Top Twenty.

Oh the situation above is similar for GFN18, and GFN17MEGA is going to overtake 49 soon too. I think the greatest challenge will be to find more DIVs than last year😂😂😂

Impressive indeed.
I think it's even more impressive with projects like SR5. We are close to beat 2016 record (6), but maybe to far for the record of 2014 (13). It's more and more difficult to find MP for these projects as exponents are growing. For project like PPS-MEGA we are always around the 1mp digits, but with power computing growing over the years.

Sorry for interrupting this thread, but this is just one example of PG scheduling. I read somewhere that the scheduler picks from a random bunch of available tasks, and cannot know the status of those tasks when sending, even if the wingman has already finished those tasks. Why can't it be set that the server sends out two tasks from the same WU one after another instead of sending random WUs?
For example I got GFN17 low that was created more than 5 hrs ago, even tho the P100 could complete the task in half the time of the wingman.
But ultimately PrimeGrid is luck. I guess this is the way it goes, then..... :)[/u]

If you look at the workunit, you can see that the first 2 tasks were sent almost at the same time, the 3 Aug 2020 | 18:23:10 UTC and the 3 Aug 2020 | 18:27:06 UTC.
The first one was aborted the 7 Aug 2020 | 18:23:44 UTC and the task was resent almost "immediately" the 7 Aug 2020 | 18:31:57 UTC.
If the task had not been aborted, maybe the founder will be the wingman :)
