Does anyone know if the above card will handle OpenCL 1.2.

If so what driver is being used and will that driver work on Prime Grid?

I need 1.2 for something else and don't want to have problems running Prime Grid.

Obviously I know almost nothing about the workings of the computer. I just use the thing.

You have a very old driver (347.88) on your computer.

It looks like drivers somewhere in the 350's switched to OCL 1.2. The driver you have seems to be one of the last that still had OCL 1.1.

Go to Nvidia's website and download the latest driver, which is in the low 400's. That will have OpenCL 1.2 and you'll be good to go. I have 417.71, but they've probably released a few more since then. I'm not aware of any problems with recent drivers.

Most of the GPUs running at PG already have OCL 1.2, so you won't have any problem.

From time to time there's problematic drivers. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right?


Sometimes that's right but other times when you upgrade the drivers you actually crunch faster, it depends on the Project but when they write the software it can take advantage of things in the new drivers that the old drivers don't have.
