I did a compilation of all challenge series, from 2008 to the current ongoing 2018 challenge series.
The files are in a free webhost.
If this is considered inappropriate, just say so and I'll remove the files.

Edit:
Our team mate, 1998golfer, kindly offered to host the stats files on his site.
They are already there and the link below was updated accordingly.
Thank you, golfer !

The only thing inappropriate about it in my opinion is that it is not also on the public pages (unless it is! I didn't check) I think it is really good. Well done.

Very nice, Eudy! Great work.

Small error in text that I noticed in how ranks are listed. While "2nd" and "22nd" are correct, "12nd" should be "12th".

Thank you for your feedback !

@Lord odf The Rats, I didn't go "public" because I wanted to make a test in our team first, to detect erros and such.

@Scott, indeed, the ordinal is wrong for 12th.
Thank you for pointing that out.
And, after you mentioned it, I noticed that 11st is also not right.
I'll try to fix this asap.

A note: as it is a free webhosting service, it goes down for one hour every day.
They said I could choose when this sleep time occurs, but I could not find that option in the settings.
I still don't know when the site will sleep.

Edit:
Oops, 13rd is also wong.

Excellent work, most excellent work! Depending on the status of the current score keeper you might get to take over that job.

Cheers Rick

Issues with ordinal numbers ending in 11, 12 and 13 are fixed (I hope).

Thank you, again, for your encouragement, guys.
Please do point out any errors you find.
This is my first experience with HTML and CSS, so be patient :)

@Rick, thank you.
The process for generating the HTML files with the standings is automated now.
I've spent he last two weeks developing a small program that does all the data consolidation and creates the final HTML files.
Now it's just point and click.
Very easy, so it's no hassle for me to keep the stats updated (even during an ongoing challenge).

If the job is open, I can take it, hoping it will help PG.

"Stats brought to you by Aggie The Pew" (it rhymes, ha, ha, ha)

Edit:
Let me know when it's time to post this subject in the main forum (Number Crunching ?)

The 2018 challenge series results were updated.
Since the Oktoberfest results are not final yet and some individual/team ranks might still change, the challenge series results might also change during the clean up.

I'm still not totally happy with the overall Challenge Series results.

Specially those old ones, like 2010, 2009 and possibly some other years.
The problem seems to be charset encoding in the challenge result webpage for some old challenges.
This affects how some user and team names are displayed.

For instance, the first challenge in 2010.
This page has no explicit charset encoding specified, so my browser (Firefox) guesses it as "windows-1252".
Now look at users ranked 523, 875 and 1098.
I see this:

523 mcthommyhasy© ...
875 Andrzej Wójtowicz
1098 Коренберг Марк

Obviously, the user name at rank 1098 is wrongly displayed.

If I tell my browser to interpret this webpage as being Unicode (UTF-8) encoded, then user name at 1098 appears right, but those at 523 and 875 ranks appear wrong, like this:

523 mcthommyhasy
875 Andrzej Wjtowicz
1098 Коренберг Марк

I believe that some user names (team names also) were UTF-8 encoded but were inserted (without any encoding conversion) in an HTML that had a differente encoding.
This created pages with mixed up encoded strings in them.

This affects, it seems, some chinese and russian (user and team) names.
More recent years do not seem to have this issue.

I'm working now trying to fix this.

Edit:
As an example of wrongly displayed names in the final report, see the 2010 Final Individual Standings.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and observe some of the last names there:
검빛하nF, Коренберг Марк
They don't look right :(

Edit2:
Thanks for moving this post to the appropriate location, Rick !

Eudy - moved your post to this thread :)

You do know of course that the original post location was fine. As I said before AtP is famous for hijacking threads and other fun stuff. Just ask Tim. (although the ironing board incident is still beyond my ability to rationally explain.)

Have you tried following the link to the user page? That will usually display "XYS's other projects", giving you the correct representation of the name.

In those cases where there are no other projects, or the server supplying that data isn't available, you can follow the link to "send a private message" which will also show the user name filled in in the "to:" field.

Still, could not resolve some of them, which don't make any sense to me.

Not sure if this will help:

I'll try to use this info.
Thank you, Michael.

I found this website: https://www.webatic.com/encoding-explorer

The first one 38851 appears to be Chinese or Japanese: 蹪糌-关

The fourth one 435328 appears to be Chinese or Japanese: 蹪呟莨圯慧澖豈关

I couldn't find a perfect match on the other two.

Thanks for the link !
It's a great tool to try to find out how the original name should be displayed, supposing the name still holds the original hexa contents.

The user with id 48514 might have name ロ捩ロ攣リMエロ攷リ ケリ=サロ攷リ-ケリ=スロ捩.
The M in he middle could look strange, but his name in Rosetta@home is 479M (also has an M).
But still, it'd be a very long name !

I'm still struggling with some names which seem to have the original hexadecimal contents "distorced".

For example, this guy is from Brazil.
I'm almost 100% sure his name is Américo Portela, although it's displayed as Am%/)rico Portela.
So, somehow, é (UTF-8 C3 A9)
turned int %/). (25 2F 29).

What is making things harder is that the same é ended up as other forms in some other names.
I'm almost sure this guy's name is José Augusto: the é was transformed into %/)
http://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=41750

This other I believe is José: the é was transformed into %-
http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/show_user.php?userid=9169428 (SETI @Home says he's from Brazil)

Ayyway, I'm slowly trying to get things fixed.
I've saved all challenges results in XML files (like the ones you're generating now), so I can process (test) them offline (no impact on PG's Internet bandwith :) ).

Still have same few to review:
