I double check 3 primes and I didn't have any initial discovery.
Is there any option to set or I was not lucky?

You must set cache to 0. Now you have 16+19 WU in progress. So if any of those WU is prime, you will become double checker, not initial discoverer, since somebody will return result before you: so you will only confirm it is prime.
So set cache to 0, and enjoy

Another, complementary and synergetic way to improve your chances is to run LLR tests multi-threaded using app_config.xml

Yes.
Great... I´m gonna support PPSE through the entire february, that way I hope that if it was in fact not a faulty FFT selection by LLR (when doing offline work on a non PG version 3.8.20 of LLR) that another error will show up. So far no problems and if february produces about 11500 results that has no error, I´ll deffinently not buy a new computer and dispose of this Haswell :) since a bonifide hardware error should produce at least some errors among 11500 results :)
Happy challenge everyone and happy hunting :)

Just wanted to be sure that any errorneous results would be discovered, if I do infact have a true hardware error and LLR did not choose a faulty FFT length. So I guess the correct answer is better safe than sorry :) |

Every workunut is double checked, yes yes :)
No problem, I hope your Haswell is live and healthy!

I talked to another user at Mersenneforum - he is here too, he pointed the finger towards LLR rather than the hardware in the Haswell itself. Guess that if no problem shows up during february month, it is safe to say that LLR was wrong on claiming a hardware error - but just as you I hope that my hardworking Haswell is in fact live and healthy :) ... Thanks for your feedback :) |
