I'm talking about PrimeGrid BOINC credit; not money. :)
In order to reduce spam (you may not notice it, but it annoys the moderators), effective immediately most forums require you to have credit in order to post.
Only the "Help Desk / Problems and Help" forum allows new users to post. That forum is intended for questions from new users having trouble getting started.

It was noticeable a few days ago when some clown posted HTML code for a web site. Not just a simple link, mind you, but dozens of comments filled with HTML code posted to existing message threads.
Requiring PrimeGrid credit before being allowed to post comments is a good idea. |

They could, but they don't. Spammers don't usually target PrimeGrid per se, rather, they're going after all BOINC forums since they use the same software. They're not likely to spend the time actually running a task just to post a few spam messages on a single forum.
Also, this is not the only anti-spam feature we use; it's merely the only anti-spam feature we'll talk about. :)

I guess it's ok if you return them a little bit late. If you return them VERY late, i.e., more than 100% late, you might not get credit, but usually you're fine if it's just a little late. |
