Well, I guess it's official. I'm pretty much the most unlucky SGS cruncher on PrimeGrid.
Today I just surpassed stevmcn in terms of SGS credit with no SGS prime find (neither primary nor double-check). He had 522,629, and I'm now at 525,328.37 and counting. No one has more SGS credit than that with no prime find.
stevmcn is also the current leader in terms of WUs crunched with no prime find, having completed an astounding 37,563 WUs to date with not a single prime find! I've only got 20,560, so it'll be a while until I can beat that. There are also several other PG users ahead of me in the race for that dubious distinction.
As an aside, I even crunched 1,056 SGS WUs over on PRPNet during the SGS downtime on PG between ranges. No prime finds there either. Maybe I did something to offend the ghost of Sophie Germain?

You must be lucky: before few days I found first SGS in new range. And I need over 31000 WU to find it. But, I sow 7-8 users that found SGS processed less then 50 WU. So in that time that was so frustrating for me...
Even my wingman process only 21 WU before he become second checker.
So only luck and nothing more....

And I thought I was having a bad time with 12.2k WUs done and no luck.
It seems that I'm hot on your tails...time will tell how it turns out. I'm not changing projects until I find one. |

Well, I guess I'm out of the race!
Just got this one in: 113.105.840.787*2^1290000-1 is a prime!
It took only about 14k workunits... |

Nice Idea... Well, I'm taking place four in the race up on the way to place three ;)

I have managed my second SGS double checker, and fourth PG double checker with "only" 10k on SGS, but over 400k on PG and still no prime of my own.
I'll keep looking and hope for a change in luck.

PrimeGrid now shows a prime found for me. Not sure if it is 1st or 2nd checker yet.
So I'm bowing out of the race at 29,270 WUs and 870,539 SGS points.
Odicin still has no prime finds at 34,594 WUs and 1,002,396 SGS points!

I went from silver to gold badge in SGS without an extra prime. They are getting rare, I guess.
Now I'm going for my Cullen gold badge. I would be amazed if that would get me a new prime. They're even more rare... |

9100 WU for me and also no prime. Perhaps it's better to switch to Proth Prime Search tasks? I've got 5k WU of those and also no prize :(
Still, when i read the posts above i think i still have no real reason to complain. |

Was having plenty of troubles but suddenly at around 20k workunits I found two more :) |

Looks like mattozan found some SGS primes:
http://www.primegrid.com/primes/?section=primelist&userid=90031
We know cassetti found some:
http://www.primegrid.com/primes/?section=primelist&userid=135491
and Dirk found some too:
http://www.primegrid.com/primes/?section=primelist&userid=56675
stevmcn is still king of the SGS no-prime or double checks (37,563 WU):
http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=user&proj=pgrid&name=77620
Odicin is coming a hot second for SGS no-prime or double checks (37,431 WU):
http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=user&proj=pgrid&name=61485
flowerysong is coming third for SGS no-prime or double checks (29,336 WU):
http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=user&proj=pgrid&name=49784
DaveB has still not found an SGS prime, but has 3 double checks (18,091 WU):
http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=user&proj=pgrid&name=42198
http://www.primegrid.com/primes/?section=primelist&userid=42198
I've not found an SGS prime but have 2 double checks (11,049 WU):
http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=user&proj=pgrid&name=120786
http://www.primegrid.com/primes/?section=primelist&userid=120786
Herr Roedy has not found an SGS prime or any double checks (9,744 WU):

Yes, I did finally get not just one, but two SGS primes plus a double-check in rapid succession.
I'd say, "good luck," but this is a math project. We know that luck is really just probabilities. So instead I'll say, "Keep crunching and, odds are, you'll get a prime too!" |

Congratulations on both your SGS find and a new record for WUs with no find! Now the nearest challenger after stevmcn (who still has no SGS finds in 37,563 WUs) is flowerysong (no SGS finds in 29,336 WU). |
