I'm here on 27 too, though you wouldn't know it. If you look down around 135,000, you'll see a "Gary". That's me, but from back sometime last year when I tried out prpnet for the first time. I messed up and put a "space" in my name in the .ini file, rather than an underscore. I sent a PM to Lennart to see if he could fix it a while back, and he responded, but since then I guess it has been "summer hours" and/or preoccupied with challenges and router failures and other crises. Maybe I should ping him again.

C,
How quickly are you completing a WU on port 27?

Hey C, Hey Neo,
Welcome to port 27.
Ian
Thanks. I've been threatening to invade your port for a couple of weeks now. After the challenge I wanted to run some pps to help with the double checking effort, but somehow ended up doing about as much lrp during the week. I wasn't really monitoring boinc. I'm now back to full-throttle in the prpnet realm. Thanks for allowing me some refuge in 27. Let's hit a big one this Fall.... |

C,
How quickly are you completing a WU on port 27?
Good question. I had to stop and look. I'm only running 4 wu's at a time. I also lowered my overclock on my machine back to 3.8 for the challenge as I was concerned about heating since I wasn't going to be around that weekend to babysit the machines. I have not gone back to my higher clock speeds and probably won't until I complete my water-cooling system. I am running at almost exactly 2.5 hours per wu. I might try 8 wu's with hyperthreading later which would give me slightly better overall results without the GPU running. But my tests have shown that there isn't a huge advantage in throughput by running 8. |

C,
How quickly are you completing a WU on port 27?
Just noticed that there are 2 Fourier transforms going on here. The 224Ks are taking about 2:20, and the 256Ks about 2:30. |

Wow that is quick, takes me about 7-8 hours per WU. Man do I need a faster computer :)

Ran four in parallel, just to see... nothing else running except 1 GPU PPS Sieve. When the quicker ones finished I started a PPS Low client to take its place.
