I just found a new prime: 8093*2^601925+1
My question is how do I find out which of my computers discovered this prime? |

Ha, that's the really fun part... you get to review each and every wu done until you find it :)
We've had a couple of users already go mad doing just that !
ps - congrats on finding the prime!

Go into your account, scroll down to the listing of PG subprojects and *click* on a blue "primes found" number <>0 or use the link http://www.primegrid.com/primes/?section=primelist&userid=42986...

How does it tell which of computers discovered the prime?

Hi all,
all of said is quite correct...to find out the 'computer' or 'reporting-time' of your discovered prime within primegrid.com is driving you towards suizid ...
However there are some more information about your found prime if it is automatically reported to the 'Prime Database' via your settings in primegrid here:
(once you received an e-mail it also shows an ID-Number you can click on)
http://primes.utm.edu/primes/
@least you have now the information about the 'reporting-time' of your prime and some more details (e.g. validation, kind of prime, etc.)
But even with those information you are likely to go mad in the search within primegrid with a lot of WU reported..
Would it be possible for the Admin to add a computer ID and reporting time to
Prime number list for participant "xxxxxx" ???
Greetings

Here's another wish... since being on Prpnet for the last week or so I've noticed the programs there keep a log on the actual pc reporting the status of each prime tested. Wonder if maybe that could incorporated in primegrid some how. At least that way we could do our own searches.
Cheers

Importing what wu are said to be prime with all the little bits and pieces that go along with it like say, computer id, wu id, date, time, prime number and user.
Oh and here's a real wish... if I'm the double checker, it would really be nice to know who the initial finder was.
Prpnet just has a nice list of the primes found and tells you quite abit in that list.
Somewhere I think there's a huge db of all primes found isn't there?

I'm just now finishing up a Cullen w/u in about 5 hours; however, I'm going to have to wait an indefinite period of time for my wingmen to find out whether I found another Cullen composite. Normally I get 4 to 6 wingmen, most of which are crunching on a 286@12mhz :)
This issue is exactly why I am fond of Primegrid's Prpnet.
Zero wait. Immediate information on every possible detail imaginable. Unfortunately for me, I'm badge hunting.
