I get a computation error on startup for Proth Prime Search ( Sieve ) V1.35 the WU's seem to stop after a few seconds.
Not too much of a problem I just abort the WU in question.
The WU's for Proth Prime Search ( Sieve ) V1.36 appear to run OK.
Is there anything I can do to prevent downloads of Proth Prime Search ( Sieve ) V1.35 WU's.
I am running a Windows 7, 64 Bit Intel Dual Core machine with a Radeon HD4570 GPU.
Any suggestions and help would be most welcome.

Maybe a driver or file permission problem? Do you have the same problems in other boinc projects?

Your ATI drivers are to old. You need to update them -> http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/radeon_win7-64.aspx
Download and install the "AMD Catalystâ„¢ Accelerated Parallel Processing (APP) Technology Edition" drivers.

That's simple.
Just go to your BOINC manager and select Primegrid project on the 1st tab, then click on the "your account" button.
The log in page should appear in your web-browser, log in and select the preferences for Primegrid and uncheck the Proth Prime Search (Sieve) application.
Once you have done that, update the Primegrid project on your BOINC manager and you should no longer receive workunits for Proth.

Problems with the Proth Prime Search (Sieve) on a Windows 7, i7 CPU 3.06 and it has a AT1 Radeon 5670 video card. Windows program says driver is up-to-date. Upon downloading this work unit a few minutes ago 40 or fifty of them all but one (Error while computing). This also happened in the last challenge series in Dec. causing (US Navy team to lose a lot of credits).
Computer ID # is 168896. Could some take a look at my account and possible advise a fix for this problem. Appreciate it

@yank - You need to go get the APP driver, not the standard driver as this uses Open CL and not CAL. Please go to ATI website and download the correct driver and try again. |

Pooh Bear 27 can you give me the link to the correct driver. I am not too swift with this 'driver' stuff.

Ok found the item...now do I have to 'Uninstall' the old driver which is shown in 'Device Manager' before I download the new driver?

Install right over, it uninstalls the previous version itself. |

A few days ago you helped me to download a driver for a Video card ATI 5670. Well tonight I just received a new computer and was able to download that same driver again.
