The last work for 2M<n<3M has been inserted. We went through basically 1.2P of work in 6 days. The next stage is for the entire n<3M range. Although smaller p range (3G instead of 7G), tasks should be slightly longer because of the increased n range. Cobblestones will be adjusted accordingly.
Current Work
5<k<9999 for 2M<n<3M up to p=1405T for +1 & -1
Next Stage
5<k<9999 for <3M p=1405T+ for +1 & -1
This should all be transparent. No adjustments needed on your end. The n<3M range will continue until optimal. At this time, it is not known what depth that will be, but we'll continue to monitor it.

Same here. :D
Is the 1800c/wu will be changed or stay for now?

I must be getting some of these longer WU's I was typically getting the 1800/pts for ~35k seconds on my althlon2x4 at 2.6ghz. The units are now taking ~45k seconds, but netting 2314 in credit.
Nice to see the boost in work done with this new app.

Agreed, it makes one wonder just how long it will be before it is sieved to optimal depth, or will we just keep sieving on ranges that we will primality test years in the future?

Yes, I'm getting some of them on my GTX 580's, went from 8.5 Min to 10.5 Min & the Credit went up to 2413 ...

Having a faster LLR app means the sieving reaches optimal sooner (optimal roughly means it takes about the same time for the sieve to eliminate a candidate as it takes to find one with LLR). Make LLR faster and it's more efficient than sieving, so the optimal range lowers, and hence you stop sieving sooner.
Speed up the Sieve, however, and the optimal range goes UP, not down. I don't know enough about the details to say whether the amount of time we'll be sieving will increase or decrease, but the effect of the speed increase in the sieve is the opposite of what happened to PSP. We'll be sieving more data due to the speedup. What's unclear is which increases more: the amount of data to be sieved before we get to the optimal range, or the increase in the rate of sieving.

Interesting ... on my 275GTX I am only seeing about a 30-45 second increase in GPU time and a 50% reduction in CPU time.

From my Dual 580 Box, seems like all the latest are the 2314 Type Wu's, the 1800 Type must be running dry ???
