Hi,
I'm a PrimeGrid newb.
Why do a bunch of my cuda tasks show up as "Aborted by user"?
I didn't abort anything. The program runs about 4 hours a day. This is the video card:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127425
The computer passes Prime95 torture test, Burn Test, Memtest86+ but I've never done GPU stress testing. I know the GPU stays cool while the CUDA app is running.
Thanks.

Did you upgrade the driver recently? The erroring units might have happened under an older driver (pre-195.xx), or perhaps more likely, the errors might be caused by upgrading the driver (even with windows update) without pausing/stopping BOINC first.

Welcome to the project and the message boards!
These tasks timed out (e.g. Report deadline 31 Aug 2010 19:49:17 UTC). Because they hadn't been started at that time your BOINC client aborted them. It just shows as a user abort I guess because there's no separate error code for a client abort.
The PPS Sieve tasks do have a very short deadline, about 3.5 days. The problem is complicated by the fact that the GPU's speed is overestimated and therefore too many tasks can be downloaded at first. You have completed some tasks on the GPU so it shouldn't get too many tasks anymore.

I installed the latest NVIDIA drivers before installing BOINC.
Well now the GPU gets no tasks at all. How do I get it to get more?
I tried telling BOINC to queue up 2 days of work and the GPU still gets none.
Boinc is configured to run 4 hours at night.

Is that still going on? (See toward the end of the thread.)

There's a recently introduced server-side bug that is stopping people from getting CUDA WUs. The problem is being worked on, but there's no ETA for a fix yet. The problem's been around for about a week.
There's a work-around, fortunately. If you set your PrimeGrid preferences to NOT allow CPU tasks, (and allow GPU tasks), it will once again download GPU WUs. It's a nuisance to have to keep flipping that switch back and forth in order to get both CPU and GPU tasks.

It sucks being a newb. I'm using BOINC 6.10.58 and I don't see the option to not use the CPU. I can set the CPU down to a lower percentage but i can't set it down to 0%. Still not getting any GPU tasks even if I set use at most 25% of the processors and then do network communication from the advanced menu.

I tried the PrimeGrid preferences and I still don't get GPU work even after the next time the client requests work. It says "got 0 new tasks".
