I was getting the GPU work units fine, then they stopped, now in the messages says not work avaliable, are we outof them? |

I had the same problem. There is another thread that talks about it http://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=2619. It appears to be a problem that started after the server upgrade. The only thing that works for me is to go to "Your account," select "PrimeGrid Preferences" and turn off the Use CPU option. You should be able to get GPU work. After downloading GPU jobs, turn the CPU option back on. It's a bit of a pain but it does work.

While we wait patiently for a resolution, would it be possible to raise the max limit of tasks we are able to download?
- Each morning I can do the kill-CPU-download-restart-CPU trick, but I can get 40 tasks max - which is only around 20 hours work, so I run out before the next morning...
Or is this also part of the same problem?

While we wait patiently for a resolution, would it be possible to raise the max limit of tasks we are able to download?

That works great for me. 140 WUs is about a day and a half for my GTX280, which means I only need to manually grab WUs once a day.
It might not be enough for someone with a fast Fermi GPU; 140 might not make it through a whole day. I think being able to load up a whole day is the sweet spot. Checking once a day isn't a big deal, but more than that seems like a nuisance.

Now it's over downloading for me. I set it to two days and I got over 120 tasks on my GT220 which does maybe a dozen a day. In the 4 day deadline I will probably have over half of them aborted because they are late.

It must be nice to have the problem of running out of tasks. My poor little computers are collecting dust while they run and that's the sad truth. |

I'm confused. You appear to be running WUs on all of your computers, except for your quad, but that one wasn't contacted PrimeGrid in several weeks. Could you be more specific about the nature of the problem?

Yeah well my quad is no longer available for use since it's a work pc and was needed. So I'm left with 2 older laptops and my desktop that's about 5 years old.
I wasn't really saying I had a problem :) Just poking a little envious fun at those that have much faster equipment. |
