All,

I am seeing run times for sieving in the 2.5 hour range and in about 8 minutes for LLR. I am currently experiencing about 1.8 factors per sieve WU. It appears that I cold have just run LLR for those candidates in about 16 minutes. So, empirically, sieving for PPS does not buy much. What am I missing?

Sieving includes candidates up to n=5M. At that level, a LLR test will take some hours.

So are you saying that the candidates that are being caught in sieving are candidates that are that top end of the range bounded by n=5M? Right now, we are at n > 500000.

The tests being dropped by sieve are distributed in all the range up to 5M.
