I've been in tougher jams.........

I just got a PM from a friend. And that's all it took to make me realize that I am OK.......
And another friend has made an effort to make me remembered at Seti.

Yes........we are not alone. Even in our own small universe, there are others who care.

I'll be around, friends. I've been through this before, and probably, given my outspoken nature, will be again.

Those who cannot handle my course verbage are not to be considered wrong, I guess.......
They just don't know or understand the reality of this world. Life is not as pretty as one would like it to be.....

And I am not pretty sometimes.

But I am about as real as it gets.........and my true friends know that.

All ya have to do.....each and every day....is ask.......HIM....

My annual Christmas kitty poem...........




'Tis now time to ponder the new Christmas here....
The old year has gone now, another New Year.
True friends I will cherish....false ones I shall know.
Who I pardoned and who I didn't........
Who I still owe.

I've had many gifts given from God all year long......
So it's a bit hard right now coming up with a song.

HE has graced me with love, life, and my life's work.
So many wonderful things.....HE did surely not shirk.

It's HIS love that did it.......
This I do know.
For so many others are now
living down in the hole.

What do I give thanks for upon this Christmas Eve?
The life that I have to give others,
Of which I'd otherwise leave.

You........all my friends here.......
Must have been sent from above.
Otherwise I long ago would have left..
Seeking HIS eternal love.

Not ready to go yet,
I'll stay here 'till the end.
Of my life,or my truth.....
Whichever he sends.

Yes, the kitties are my life,
as I now live it.
But I shan't lose my grip
on He who has given it.

For this Christmas '09.....
Which I'll always hold dear.
Lost our Oscar and Les and Mary..
Ones I held so dear.

I will miss them soooooooo much,
But.......I face the future without fear.

For my friends, young and new....
Furred well or bald, don't mean diddly.

They were not a religious group per se.......

Those of you who don't know me well.........they are one of my favorite groups of all time.....and the losses I spoke of in my previous poem......Oscar and Les and Mary..............I suppose I should explain.

Oscar was my favorite kitty of all time.......Lori (my GF) and I lost him to cancer at too young an age recently, and I cried for days. It is better now, I can remember the good things about him. Yes, I know, he was 'just' a cat....if you don't understand, I could never explain it to you here.

Les.........that would be Les Paul....my guitar hero forever. He invented the electric guitar, and my dad introduced me to him when I was but a pup. Amazing man...amazing talent. He played in New York until just months before he departure.

Mary........that would be Mary Allin Travers.......my world will just not ever be quite right without her God-given voice.......what more can I say? She was not just a beautiful woman, the beauty she had shined from within. Until the day she died, it glowed within her.
She Had the hammer.... and she struck it every time she could...... Whether anybody listened is still open for opinion.....
Peter Yarrow and Paul Stookey no longer have their friend to sing with.....and that must hurt them even more than me. My soul goes out to them as well.

A simple lion can teach us about our lives..........and our beloved Oscar left us to make room for another kitty.
I do miss that dude.

God has greater plans for us............don't you think?
