Badges are a great way to celebrate milestones, and full sets of badges are quite noteworthy. So here are the rules...post here to announce your full set of any color badges. A full set (for the purposes of this thread) my be defined in one of two ways:
1. A full set of all 22 badges representing all 22 possible project badges.
or
2. A full set of 16 badges representing all ACTIVE sub-projects (i.e., a fully attainable set for those that missed the completed or suspended sub-projects). The following are available as active sub-projects:
GCW, PSA, SGS, WOO, CUL, 321, PSP, PPS-Sieve, PPS, AP, SOB, TRP, GFN, SR5, ESP, WW |

Yeah unfortunately I too won't be able to get the 13th badge as I have no 64 bit computers for I think its psp Sieve. But don't quote me on that. I just know there is one that is only 64 bit unfortunately :)
Just like the TPS is staying bronze for me until they put another TPS on bonic, in time I'm sure they will. They have in the past. Lastly I've been trying to help with the PSA badge not for the badge although that helps but I love Primorial Sieves, But enough with me, when someone dings a full set or even better full set of silver or gold that would be great to post here :)
Say just out of curiosity, If I was able to get the right 64 bit work units on a thumb drive, and hit up best buys nice computers. Yes I would have to sneak and come up with an excuse if caught. But its not like its stealing or anything just using a little time you know, lunch break time or something? Opinions, to beat me to the ground or support this crazy idea?

P.S. Back to the topic...I'm getting there. I should be at 10 badges - but I'm waiting for some people to validate my Cullen and Woodall WUs.

OK John M. Non owned computer use is not cool or viable under Boinc.
If You require 64 bit OS help please PM me. I'll do what ever I can to assist just as John & Lennart have done for me.

No you don't - you can still get PSA credit; something I'm working on too. If on 32-bit you probably want PRPNet.
____________

No! I don't see a PSA on the list of BOINC projects. |
|
|
|
PSA stands for "Project Staging Area", which is by definition non-BOINC. It has its own forum section, and can be found here: http://www.primegrid.com/forum_forum.php?id=24
And as said above, PRPNet might be a good place to start, especially if you are on 32 bit machines.

If so, then I should have my full 12-badge set once my PSA credits finish filtering in. :)

There is still a large range of twin candidates that have been sieved already. And there is a chance of finding another twin in there. I'd love to see the rest of this range in BOINC, so we can make sure we don't miss another record twin plus we'd have a chance of completing our sets of badges ;-)

Lumiukko just received his 12th GOLD badge. Congratulations! The last remaining is a bronze TPS.
Sometime soon we'll be releasing the next level beyond gold. Additionally, we may have a solution to the "closed" TPS badge. We'll know more in the next few months...so there's still hope in advancing that badge. :)

Thanks Tim, yeah I'll switch mostly to Proth LLR for February, although I'll have little chance of winning any shirt with my six cores. And I think I'll use my name on the happy occasion. Once I get the scent, I'll hunt those primes down like a cat hunts a r... oh sorry ;-) |

The late, but ever great, Aggie The Pew (may her shadow never grow less) came from a home which had rats, cats and dogs and the rats were distinctly boss animals. So Agg would doubtless say "Come on if you think you are hard enough". Actually she'd probably say "Yo!" but that is another story.
More rationally Lennart is bound to find more primes than you and you are bound to find more than I but we shall all have fun, I hope, in the pursuit. Last year was superb. roadrunner_gs had a shed load of computers running but could find no primes. KenzieB sneaked in with a reportable prime to general acclamation. It was edge of seat stuff.
Anyway congrats again and bon chance to all.
Cheers!

I just rounded out my full set of bronze, at least for the projects that have been active in BOINC since I joined in December. Now I need to work on getting a few more silver badges -- I'm most of the way through the work to get SoB silver, although I have no idea how long my wingmen will take. I'll see how fast I can get TRP LLR bronze when that project comes online. |

Thanks.

Only the ones I got hold of prior to the change I'm afraid.
Maybe I could help Rytis though as it's likely just a case of installing a better font to use and use true type fonts as well. I switched to using imagegettftext and use trebucit.ttf in my signatures though it might not scale down so small..

When people state "they've got all the badges" it's not always true. There was a project called the twin prime search (TPS). Many do not have the TPS badge, but really mean, "I've got all the badges that I can for what's currently running. The same holds true for the AP26 project. |

Given the nature of the last few posts, it seems appropriate to update the original post that started this thread (sorry, but since I am not a project admin, I cannot edit the original top post):
With the addition of new projects and the completion of the AP26 project, the manner of collecting a "full set" of badges (bronze, silver, gold, and amethyst) for each sub-project has changed..
So here are the updated rules...post here to announce your full set of any color badges. A full set (for the purposes of this thread) my be defined in one of three ways:
1. A full set of all 16 badges representing all 16 possible project badges.
or
2. A full set of 15 badges representing all sub-projects that were active when the PrimeGrid badges were first implemented (i.e., a fully attainable set for those that missed the already defunct TPS sub-project).
or
3. A full set of 14 badges representing all currently ACTIVE sub-projects (i.e., a fully attainable set for those that missed the defunct TPS sub-project and the recently completed AP26 sub-project).
____________
141941*2^4299438-1 is prime!

Guess I finally have the full set too, unless there is a new sub-project I'm not aware of ;)

PrimeGrid should create a "white badge" (with grey border lines), solely for TPS and AP26 and those who have finished minimum one WU in these projects.
This will help many users to get a full set of 16 badges.

I think a white badge with a white border and white writing and placed afer all the other badges you have would be perfect. |

I've got 13 bronze badges. I joined PG too late for AP26, so the only one missing, is SoB, but the work is done: the WU is finished. Now I only have to wait for my (5th) wingman to complete the double check. When he does, my set of bronze badges will be complete.
Up to now, I have discovered 2 primes, one in PSA (PPSE), one SG. |
|
|
|
My wingman made short work of his SoB Wu, so now I have a complete set of 14 bronzes.
In the meantime, I'm working on a silver TRP. I doesn't look like it will get me another prime, but for now, I'm happy with the two I've got. |

Got my 15'th Badge Yesterday in Cullen LLR's & should have the Full 16 Set in the next few day's, still missing The Riesel Problem (LLR) tasks Badge but almost there. Been working on that plus getting the Bronze & Silver's up to at least Gold or I would have all 16 already.
Never really did Aspire to get all 16 & just got what I had by running the Challenges, but once I got 12 or 13 I figured I may as well go for all of them since I was that close to getting the Full 16 Set. Luckily I got the AP26 & TPS Badges while the getting was good that many are missing ... :)
