Hello,
I'm running 321 and Proth LLR WUs and I think it is annoying and in my opinion not useful to have a quorum of 2 with a replication of 3. MNany of my successfully crunched WUs get 0 credits because of this.

quorum/replication of 2/2 would be enough and everybody would get credit. If you need a triple check, make a quorum/replication of 3/3.

It's not that serious with Proth since it on my core2quad only about 130-160sec, but 321 WUs take 30k seconds!

The initial replication of all LLR WU's is 2. However, when a result comes in and doesn't match the other result, replication is increased by one. It's a bit misleading that BOINC still calls it "initial replication".

Please see this post for a more detailed explanation.

I had a Cullen WU that validated today where there were 3 results, all of which got full credit. This is an example of a different variation where the initial replication was 2, one of which was returned on time. The other overran and the WU was re-issued. Then the original(late) WU was returned shortly before the 3rd WU came back. (Not a complaint - just another, different example of how stuff can happen).

In the original posters situation, he would have still got credit if a) the residue matched, and b) he returned his result on time (or at least before the WU was cleared from the database - there's usually a couple of days leeway on this).

Your computer may be running hot as many workunits errored out. The results are invalid on some too.
Maybe you can check that. Good luck, Jack
