PPS sieve stats

For a while I had assumed that the pps sieve stats were not showing on my account page because they are secret as long as it is still in development, but I just found them listed at boincstats.net. I am glad I did because now I'm sure its the best use for my pc. I'm just wondering why there is no pps sieve info on my account page or in server status, but it IS listed on the main page for available WUs? I really like the high factor density, though. Makes me feel useful for once.

Nope, nothing secret about PPS sieve.
Stats were originally excluded because we did not intend to make this a mainstream project. It was a developmental project. However, things have changed and we realized that we needed more help. The project is stable and we now have over 100 users. We still wish to monitor the bandwidth as the sieve file is quite large. That's why it's only available by request.
Therefore, the plan is to eventually add stats. Putting available work on the front page was the first step. Until the rest are added, you can monitor stats at PrimeStats.net

Speaking of the sieve file, I have another quad core system that I will be setting up with 64 bit ubuntu. Can I just copy the sieve file from my current Vista x64 system or do I need to redownload it to the new computer?

Thanks for the links John. Having the stats for PPS Sieve eventually listed on "my account" page will be a nice addition, but in the mean time PrimeStats is certainly better than nothing.
